Our History

The A2Z Welfare Foundation of California

The A2Z foundation was established in 2014 as a nonprofit dedicated to improving healthcare access to the underserved and disadvantaged populations of the San Francisco Bay Area. The organization was founded by an educator husband and physician wife team.  The founders draw on their professional life experiences to provide healthcare services  to those who otherwise may not have access or ability to seek out traditional care.

To date, the foundation has hosted several health fair events throughout the Bay Area. Services provided at the events include blood pressure and blood glucose screening; basic healthcare education, dietary/lifestyle education, as well as free consultations with primary care and specialty physicians. Counseling is also provided to aid in navigation of health care systems to enable patients to obtain care. Additionally, the foundation provides free annual flu vaccination services to the community.

With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, the organization has also expanded to provide financial assistance and food relief to deserving individuals. Learn more about our ongoing community projects by clicking here.
